We are empowering today's girls. We are having impact NOW!

At the Bizzy Girls Academy, we believe in a holistic approach to educate and empower young girls.  Our unique programs teach financial literacy combined with social emotional intelligence. In order to obtain gender equality, girls must have the experiences and skills needed to enter the workforce with confidence, whether they choose a corporate or entrepreneurial path. The skills and the experiences that build self confidence have to start at a young age. We educate the whole girl giving her the tools she needs to achieve her entrepreneurial goals and manage her growing emotional challenges.

In our programs girls go through the process of creating a product and learn business skills related to their projects, from development, to branding, to sales. They are also learning goal setting, decision making, collaboration and kindness.

These girls will make sure that they create work environments of inclusion, appropriate business behaviors, and due recognition. They will prosper through their self confidence, whether today or tomorrow, and create work environments that will be able to embrace them and benefit from their contributions.  Our girls are not only empowering themselves but becoming agents of change for others.

Our teen programs all include education and discussion of workplace expectations, inclusion, appropriate behaviors and measures to take when encountering these issues.

Founder : Bizzy Girls was founded by Deborah Kanafani, in 2014. Deborah is a psychotherapist, author and entrepreneur.  After spending several years working on women's empowerment in the Middle East and publishing a memoir with Simon and Schuster on her experiences, she began to delve into the present state of tween and young teen girl behavior in the US. Finding consistent documentation that girls self-confidence begins to decline at age twelve, Deborah began to develop programs to empower young girls.

Goals: Bizzy Girls has had over 3000 girls start their own businesses through-out California and New York. We are expanding into new cities, in person and through our online afterschool program.
